You must perform a full configuration update for each device on which you want to
enable netdump.
If an AP or switch becomes non-responsive, you can enable it to automatically save a
core dump file to a TFTP server on the network the next time it boots. You can
provide this file to Support to assist in diagnosing the issue. To configure a
device to save a core dump file to a TFTP server, complete the following steps:

Go to and select the host name of the AP in the Devices
list.

From the Device Details
left pane, select .

Select the check box to
Enable Netdump.

Configure the Update Settings.

DHCP check box to have the device bootloader use DHCP
to obtain an IP address at startup.

Static check box to use a static IP and configure the
following network settings that the bootloader must use to connect to the
network:

The device will send a core dump file to the TFTP server the next time it
reboots.
