Configure a Notification Template

There are two default notification templates available in ExtremeCloud‌ IQ; an SMS template and an Email template. You can also configure customized notification templates for non-employees who need to obtain network access (for example, guests, contractors, and VIPs).

Use this task to configure notification templates.

  1. Go to Configure > Common Objects > Basic > Notification Templates.
  2. Select an existing template, and then select Edit, or select Add.

    To delete a selected template, select Delete.

  3. Type a Name for the template.
  4. Select the Template Type from the list.
  5. If you selected SMS, configure the following settings:

    Setting Description
    Security Type Select PPSK (private pre-shared key) or RADIUS.
    Template Content Type or paste the text that you want the SMS message to contain. To insert a variable (Login Name, Password, SSID, or Expiration) select the corresponding button below the text box.
  6. If you selected Email, configure the following settings:
    Table 2. Settings for the Email template type
    Setting Description
    Security Type Select PPSK or RADIUS.
    Icon URL Type the path to the URL.
    Logo URL Type the path to the logo image to upload.
    Template Content To insert a variable (Login Name, Password, SSID, or Expiration) select the corresponding button below the text box.
  7. Select SAVE.
